Apples from this tree are no that special, still we like them. But there is a problem: birds like them too. Honestly speaking birds never eat fruit as a whole: just a small part of it, but that is enough damage for apple fruit to start rotting. How to protect apples from birds? At the beginning we tried to hang scare bird ribbons, like this <a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3WBNCBT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details">https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3WBNCBT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details</a> </p><p>That worked somehow last year, but not this year. Either different birds found our backyard this summer, or may be birds adjusted, but scare ribbon does not work anymore. So we have to find some other mean of protection. </p><p>In one hour I built net canopy: wooden frame out of old floor molding (I took that molding out during room renovation). This frame I attached to the long wooden post. Length of the post is slightly more then tree height).</p><p>We put square bird net <a href="https://www.homedepot.com/p/Vigoro-14-ft-x-14-ft-Polypropylene-Bird-Block-Netting-and-Barrier-NMVBB1414/310977979">https://www.homedepot.com/p/Vigoro-14-ft-x-14-ft-Polypropylene-Bird-Block-Netting-and-Barrier-NMVBB1414/310977979</a> on top of the canopy and tied canopy post to tree trunk:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrJ8bNyhReHXtCW9DDw4zZjbUomZ3_vNynKb9ALQM-cMo667NTxBfhAJRMufMHz6ONvNUv_TjY-r1y1K28UxXUbR5a4mlLB6MYYL9fGo1hukD1V2kzXU8G6LndYBZ3ftYrWh4FIqgRx7T4LhDIyy2flz_YFk_-hlodo9ODIsnkXygT7iECDeNooVLaGVI/s6016/IMKP4987_acr.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="6016" height="380" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrJ8bNyhReHXtCW9DDw4zZjbUomZ3_vNynKb9ALQM-cMo667NTxBfhAJRMufMHz6ONvNUv_TjY-r1y1K28UxXUbR5a4mlLB6MYYL9fGo1hukD1V2kzXU8G6LndYBZ3ftYrWh4FIqgRx7T4LhDIyy2flz_YFk_-hlodo9ODIsnkXygT7iECDeNooVLaGVI/w571-h380/IMKP4987_acr.jpg" width="571" /></a></div><br /><p>After that we attached another net to the bottom of the canopy net with small pieces of wire. </p><p>Below you can see that "engineering beauty" in a full view. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCHIZenSawAFoCWlaYeaMVORISm3_PeB7PMWSoJFixzQZNPtRgpQjalPUCQd1rsPE4xWiiW8TNEZvTweHIE1VSmRi2avKHYaGsu5bkZ4bLNijRUOkFjn7fsvICxiRosA4tfnnQW_PU2VvIi0TGXxe38B9FqPWevTCQQFfQfs7gaN2k-YPmiX_9kzNvwYQ/s6016/IMKP4986_acr.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="6016" data-original-width="4000" height="829" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCHIZenSawAFoCWlaYeaMVORISm3_PeB7PMWSoJFixzQZNPtRgpQjalPUCQd1rsPE4xWiiW8TNEZvTweHIE1VSmRi2avKHYaGsu5bkZ4bLNijRUOkFjn7fsvICxiRosA4tfnnQW_PU2VvIi0TGXxe38B9FqPWevTCQQFfQfs7gaN2k-YPmiX_9kzNvwYQ/w552-h829/IMKP4986_acr.jpg" width="552" /></a></div><div><br /></div>And guess what? I share my office space with him. If you pay enough attention you'll find that arm chair, next to which dog lays, does not have wheels. I had to get rid of them to provide safety for the dog . Easy to say but not so easy to do. Office arm chairs with no wheels do not exist. I could not find one neither in local stores, no online. At the beginning I replaced arm chair with regular home chair, but later I decided to proceed with DIY modification of my old office chair. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">Here are some steps of this project. </span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: justify;">First I removed wheels. Guest came to our house to introduce us to his brand new kitten. That kitten was adopted from the local shelter, so what is her breed is not clear. For what we found online she probably belongs to the local Californian breed line: Serengeti. Or Swallow?<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="BLOG_video_class" height="496" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/cvDwNhlxP5I" width="596" youtube-src-id="cvDwNhlxP5I"></iframe></div><br /><p></p><p><span style="font-family: inherit;">Most people in the Western world will easy recognize the melody of the clip above as "Carol of the Bells". It is popular Christmas song. During winter holiday season you can listen it almost as often as "Jingle Bells" or theme from Nutcracker. While music is easy to recognize, with lyrics it is different story: they are not in English. British singer of Georgian origin Katie Melua performs it together with Women's Gori Choir (Gori is city in Georgia. Just take into consideration that Georgia here is not USA state but country in the Caucasus <span face="sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #202122; font-size: 14px;">region</span>). In which language they are singing it? Georgian? No, it is Ukrainian. Why? Because it is actually Ukrainian folk song. Ukrainian composer M. Leontovych made it known to the musical world at the beginning of 20th century. It may come to surprise that English and Ukraine lyrics of this carol have absolutely nothing in common. As proof here is beginning of English text, created by <span face="Roboto, Arial, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #0f0f0f; font-size: 14px; white-space: pre-wrap;">Peter J. Wilhousky.</span></span></p><div>
<!--HTML generated using hilite.me--><div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border-color: gray; border-image: initial; border-style: solid; border-width: 0.1em 0.1em 0.1em 0.8em; border: solid gray; overflow: auto; padding: 0.2em 0.6em; width: auto;"><pre style="line-height: 125%; margin: 0px;">Hark! how the bells
Sweet silver bells
All seem to say
"Throw cares away."
Christmas is here
Bringing good cheer
To young and old
Meek and the bold
</pre></div>
</div><div><br /></div><div><span style="font-family: inherit;">And here is result of direct translation of the lyrics from Ukrainian, which I borrowed from this Wikipedia post <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shchedryk_(song)">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shchedryk_(song)</a> To my best knowledge translation is accurate. </span></div><div><br /></div><div><div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border-color: gray; border-image: initial; border-style: solid; border-width: 0.1em 0.1em 0.1em 0.8em; border: solid gray; overflow: auto; padding: 0.2em 0.6em; width: auto;"><pre style="line-height: 125%; margin: 0px;">A little swallow flew into the household
and started to twitter,
to summon the master:
"Come out, come out, O master,
look at the sheep pen,
there the ewes have given birth
and the lambkins have been born
Your goods [livestock] are great,
you will have a lot of money, by selling them.
You have a dark-eyebrowed beautiful wife
If not money, then chaff from all the grain you will harvest
you have a dark-eyebrowed beautiful wife."
</pre></div>
</div><div><br /></div><div><span style="font-family: inherit;">As you can see there is no similarity between two texts . Why <span style="background-color: white; color: #0f0f0f; font-size: 14px; white-space: pre-wrap;">Wilhousky </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #0f0f0f; white-space: pre-wrap;"> bringing the song on to American soil have chosen very different </span><span style="color: #0f0f0f;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">wording? I would guess he wanted for coral to succeed, and for that image of ringing bells easy associated with winter holiday and Christmas suited well. And indeed result was achieved.</span></span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="color: #0f0f0f;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Attentive reader may find that in the original text there is nothing which remind about </span></span><span style="color: #0f0f0f; white-space: pre-wrap;">Christmas or even New Year. </span></span><span style="color: #0f0f0f; font-family: inherit;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Song starts with verse about swallow, which flew to the household. But wait, how that could be possible on Christmas or New Year Day? Swallow is a migrating bird, it can not survive in Ukraine in December. It will either freeze or starve to death, because of scarcity of insects, its only source of food. These birds usually return </span></span><span style="color: #0f0f0f; white-space: pre-wrap;">from tropics </span><span style="color: #0f0f0f; font-family: inherit;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">to Ukraine at the beginning of spring. Even more, one can tell that swallow is the symbol of spring in Ukraine. And </span></span><span style="color: #0f0f0f;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">everything in text tells about spring and future harvest. Why this song is associated with New Year and Christmas? I do not know for sure but here is my guess. Let us take as a starting point information from this source:</span></span></div><div><span style="color: #0f0f0f;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"><a href="https://www.infoplease.com/culture-entertainment/holidays/history-new-year">https://www.infoplease.com/culture-entertainment/holidays/history-new-year</a><br /></span></span></div><div><span style="color: #0f0f0f;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Modern calendar has its origin from early Roman times, when March was first month of the year. Later on Julius Caesar introduced new solar based calendar and that's when New Year moved to January 1. But things changed later. Here is direct quotation from the link above:</span></span></div><div><span style="color: #0f0f0f;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /><!--HTML generated using hilite.me--><div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border-color: gray; border-image: initial; border-style: solid; border-width: 0.1em 0.1em 0.1em 0.8em; border: solid gray; overflow: auto; padding: 0.2em 0.6em; width: auto;"><pre style="line-height: 125%; margin: 0px;">In medieval Europe, however, the celebrations accompanying the new year were</pre><pre style="line-height: 125%; margin: 0px;">considered pagan and unchristian like, and in 567 the Council of Tours </pre><pre style="line-height: 125%; margin: 0px;">abolished January 1 as the beginning of the year. At various times and </pre><pre style="line-height: 125%; margin: 0px;">in various places throughout medieval Christian Europe, the new year was </pre><pre style="line-height: 125%; margin: 0px;">celebrated on Dec. 25, the birth of Jesus; <b style="white-space: pre-wrap;">March 1; March 25, the Feast of the Annunciation; and Easter.</b></pre></div><div><span style="color: #0f0f0f;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></span></div> Most likely lyrics of the song indeed dedicated to New Year was created in Ukraine during times when New Year was celebrated at spring. Later on (in 18th century) celebration of New Year again became legitimate and moved according to calendar to January 1. And together with this move moved the song, Then it became associated with Christmas, which precedes New Year. </span></span><span style="color: #0f0f0f; white-space: pre-wrap;">That make me think that original text of the song is very old (definitely more then three hundred years).</span></div><div><span style="color: #0f0f0f; white-space: pre-wrap;"> </span></div><div><span style="color: #0f0f0f;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">But anyway disregarding if you find my version credible or not enjoy this beautiful melody with any lyrics in any language.</span></span></div><div><span style="color: #0f0f0f;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></span></div><div><br /></div>Jumbleviewhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13480476787765389080noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4070554621412826783.post-31215403484859863082022-10-21T20:58:00.002-07:002022-10-21T21:01:45.153-07:00Pumpkin Patch<p> It is October. It should not be too big (there is not much space for it) still it should be big enough to accommodate 14" laptop, table lamp, some books. Here is how I made it:<p></p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>For the table top I used cherry board (six feet length and 8.5 inches wide) which I found in the local Rockler store. </li><li>I cut board in a half, glued two parts together and attached mending plates to secure attachment.</li><li>I cut corners on one edge of the assembled board just to give it special look.</li><li>I attached four 28 inches metal hairpin legs (again bought at the local Rockler store).</li></ul><p></p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfjvAzbp4lN-ZBraRO9ByncXLNgaCI7TWxrNGsvk097gV0VTCXabuJebrZGvzoZrZuJwk0xJtfvmCMza7KJQr28BwBAkWh_YpZ66KHv9s8EyQqQ6gEQ9K48k_IQhKeCAhe6Cvw147WGeqHZsoi4L0Ep40ERXI31qN3AVIHb-dmvBByd4PdsCIuG7Ax/s6016/IMGP9736_acr.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="6016" height="387" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfjvAzbp4lN-ZBraRO9ByncXLNgaCI7TWxrNGsvk097gV0VTCXabuJebrZGvzoZrZuJwk0xJtfvmCMza7KJQr28BwBAkWh_YpZ66KHv9s8EyQqQ6gEQ9K48k_IQhKeCAhe6Cvw147WGeqHZsoi4L0Ep40ERXI31qN3AVIHb-dmvBByd4PdsCIuG7Ax/w583-h387/IMGP9736_acr.jpg" width="583" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Above you can see assembled top with legs attached.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIMzonPIiLKVsPlPJDeIiHjmKKFKJ9z_gJqaycwIVy7L115zu8qCErmR2dEC-_QsjcAKTOH19EIRxTVExla_UiNfqnFwI12dANSVcSU9166Eb5Zxjc3Up4TPqjZ9psmtQ47eYakzeIUtzqQhKJQN__cQXyNN5uvnAjEVUgxJrksYR9WC-tE_EAL7Lh/s6016/IMGP9739_acr.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="6016" height="393" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIMzonPIiLKVsPlPJDeIiHjmKKFKJ9z_gJqaycwIVy7L115zu8qCErmR2dEC-_QsjcAKTOH19EIRxTVExla_UiNfqnFwI12dANSVcSU9166Eb5Zxjc3Up4TPqjZ9psmtQ47eYakzeIUtzqQhKJQN__cQXyNN5uvnAjEVUgxJrksYR9WC-tE_EAL7Lh/w592-h393/IMGP9739_acr.jpg" width="592" /></a></div><br /><p>The last steps was to sand the top and cover it with the finish. Do I still use it? Yes, I do. And I am constantly modifying it. Since the beginning of COVID pandemic I work remotely and unlikely will ever return back to the office. If two years ago I spent in my home office several hours per week now I am spending there ~ 50 hours. Here is how my office looks now:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEixs_gFwWz2Kcam979OAq4I6kl4-yxpjEDTTAHxLfIhSZB74FadExLIg24dXGmm5pXSpKWpXWahQfr9hcUtSg8somPCfWpWtSFVCGtLhKmhMMuSeZZYAXI1JWiSmLDvp0KYlUv-BYQD4CxzW9Lqm2qX6p10eO21TGgIDzhHAS2xgP6-mN-yyqGGoLLJ=s6016" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="6016" height="349" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEixs_gFwWz2Kcam979OAq4I6kl4-yxpjEDTTAHxLfIhSZB74FadExLIg24dXGmm5pXSpKWpXWahQfr9hcUtSg8somPCfWpWtSFVCGtLhKmhMMuSeZZYAXI1JWiSmLDvp0KYlUv-BYQD4CxzW9Lqm2qX6p10eO21TGgIDzhHAS2xgP6-mN-yyqGGoLLJ=w523-h349" width="523" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My nine years old computer (CPU Intel Xeon E2-1230 V2) is still OK. Mostly I use it to run Remote Desktop application to get access to my job machines, but it is sufficient to run browsers, compile small and medium sized hobby projects and do some photo or video editing . I upgraded it several times: now it has 32 GB of RAM, its main disk is 1 TB SSD (plus couple of TB in regular hard drives), and it has NVIDA GeForce GT1030 2 GB video card. Obviously spec is not impressive but good enough. As my main movable display I use Philips 252B with 1920x1200 resolution ( higher resolution creates too much strain on my eyes). As peripheral display there is Lenovo LI2323swA with 1920x1080 resolution.). Obviously it could be done by Windows dedicated sound menu, but I feel that its usage is not convenient. I want two things:</div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Ability to switch between sound output devices just by mouse click. </li><li>Ability to hear proper audio feedback to be sure that selected device is up and and running.</li></ul><div>After some investigation I have achieved the desired outcome with the help of two utilities which I took here: <a href="https://www.nirsoft.net/">https://www.nirsoft.net/</a> Software is documented well enough with chm help files. (I am not affiliated with the owner of that site, just happy user of his software. Software is free). </div></div><div>First utility is executable "SoundVolumeView.exe". It is a GUI which allows to explore available sound devices and controls them (enable, disabler, set default etc...).</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6IyhM_5Q7pJxWPmmbtyaZOiC_0UoYvKHLuvxrcgMZyVHdwchz5b154U4ZN3Sp8dFaC_uj7MT-07hruaUKHL5GVyQCCByHBU6YJdUE_YeLOUFAC3nkNerWF-3_K3UFu75qAoJUQUHlcUY/s1014/SoundVolumeView.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="777" data-original-width="1014" height="392" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6IyhM_5Q7pJxWPmmbtyaZOiC_0UoYvKHLuvxrcgMZyVHdwchz5b154U4ZN3Sp8dFaC_uj7MT-07hruaUKHL5GVyQCCByHBU6YJdUE_YeLOUFAC3nkNerWF-3_K3UFu75qAoJUQUHlcUY/w512-h392/SoundVolumeView.png" width="512" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>On the screenshot above you can see selected devices, which are subjects of this project. Right click of the mouse while on selected device invokes context menu. On that menu you can choose "Property" element and see pop-up window. This window among other information has the field "Command-Line Friendly ID". </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgENwKb1BFrUa9sIjFndWPXQtB0PNTi6cL4MiUgWgUNAn3gOgd-tyLurKSdq3o3oBVRzZu56vH3_Lc4obAXM4qf5w4tPjrodXkeEhfIlbhDE7hywa0Rxn3lOxU8PRAX7_UO7I_voxmjL6E/s616/headponoe_cmd.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="616" data-original-width="490" height="560" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgENwKb1BFrUa9sIjFndWPXQtB0PNTi6cL4MiUgWgUNAn3gOgd-tyLurKSdq3o3oBVRzZu56vH3_Lc4obAXM4qf5w4tPjrodXkeEhfIlbhDE7hywa0Rxn3lOxU8PRAX7_UO7I_voxmjL6E/w447-h560/headponoe_cmd.png" width="447" /></a></div><div><br /></div>This is good: in addition to explore devices and control them with GUI I can achieve desired outcome by the command line or batch file. <br /><div><br /></div><div>So to set headset as default output device one invokes next command:</div>
<!--HTML generated using hilite.me--><div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border-color: gray; border-image: initial; border-style: solid; border-width: 0.1em 0.1em 0.1em 0.8em; border: solid gray; overflow: auto; padding: 0.2em 0.6em; width: auto;"><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"> C:\NirSoft\SoundVolumeView.exe /SetDefault "Mpow 323\Device\Speaker\Render" 1
</pre></div><div><br /></div><div>But that solves only first item in my list. What about audio feedback. Here I use another utility within the same package: "nircmd.exe". Among many commands it has command "speak". Command line to invoke it I use in this form:</div><div><br /></div>
<!--HTML generated using hilite.me--><div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border-color: gray; border-image: initial; border-style: solid; border-width: 0.1em 0.1em 0.1em 0.8em; border: solid gray; overflow: auto; padding: 0.2em 0.6em; width: auto;"><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">C:\NirSoft\nircmd.exe speak file "C:\NirSoft\headphone.xml"
</pre></div><div><br /></div>
<div>And here is a context of "headphone.xml" file:</div><div><br /></div><div><div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border-color: gray; border-image: initial; border-style: solid; border-width: 0.1em 0.1em 0.1em 0.8em; border: solid gray; overflow: auto; padding: 0.2em 0.6em; width: auto;"><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><span style="color: #007700;"><voice</span> <span style="color: #0000cc;">required=</span><span style="background-color: #fff0f0;">"Gender=Male"</span><span style="color: #007700;">></span>
Headphone Activated
<span style="color: #007700;"></voice></span>
</pre></div><div><br /></div></div><div><div>As you can see it has only one xml attribute <voice> which control gender of the speaker and text to speak.</div><div><br /></div><div>Similar files created for other two devices. Here is "speakers.xml":</div><div><p></p><!--HTML generated using hilite.me--><div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border-color: gray; border-image: initial; border-style: solid; border-width: 0.1em 0.1em 0.1em 0.8em; border: solid gray; overflow: auto; padding: 0.2em 0.6em; width: auto;"><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><span style="color: #007700;"><voice</span> <span style="color: #0000cc;">required=</span><span style="background-color: #fff0f0;">"Gender=Female"</span><span style="color: #007700;">></span>
Speakers Activated
<span style="color: #007700;"></voice></span>
</pre></div><div><br /></div>It took me some time to find out the third distinctive voice. Eventually I have settled with attribute <lang> with decimal code. The result was funny voice with some specific accent. So here is "philips.xml" file. <br /><p></p><!--HTML generated using hilite.me--><div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border-color: gray; border-image: initial; border-style: solid; border-width: 0.1em 0.1em 0.1em 0.8em; border: solid gray; overflow: auto; padding: 0.2em 0.6em; width: auto;"><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><span style="color: #007700;"><lang</span> <span style="color: #0000cc;">langid=</span><span style="background-color: #fff0f0;">"419"</span><span style="color: #007700;">></span>
Philips Activated
<span style="color: #007700;"></lang></span></pre></div><div><br /></div></div></div><div>After that I made three batch files:</div>
<div><br /></div>
<!--HTML generated using hilite.me--><div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border-color: gray; border-image: initial; border-style: solid; border-width: 0.1em 0.1em 0.1em 0.8em; border: solid gray; overflow: auto; padding: 0.2em 0.6em; width: auto;"><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">"headphone.bat"</pre><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">C:\NirSoft\SoundVolumeView.exe /SetDefault "Mpow 323\Device\Speaker\Render" 1</pre><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">C:\NirSoft\nircmd.exe speak file "C:\NirSoft\headphone.xml"
</pre><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br /></pre><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">"speaker.bat"</pre><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">C:\NirSoft\SoundVolumeView.exe /SetDefault "Realtek High Definition Audio\Device\Speakers\Render" 1
C:\NirSoft\nircmd.exe speak file "C:\NirSoft\speakers.xml"
</pre><div><br /></div><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">"philips.bat"</pre><pre style="line-height: 16.25px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">C:\NirSoft\SoundVolumeView.exe /SetDefault "NVIDIA High Definition Audio\Device\PHL 252B9\Render" 1
C:\NirSoft\nircmd.exe speak file "C:\NirSoft\philips.xml"
</pre><div><br /></div></div><div><br /></div>
<div> </div><div>The last step was to create three desktop shortcuts. I put here just one as example. Shortcut doesn't invoke batch file directly. Instead it calls batch file with the help of "nircmd.exe". You see that it is called with command "exec", parameter "hide", and name of the batch file. Parameter "hide" guarantees that console window attached to the command line process becomes hidden and does not distract the user.</div><div><br /></div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJObpa0GJ9vJtrmHdFsVbsSqsZoAIgc5JaFkqXU0XV6bBec1dZvtbdZX3IBdhxEYmdmi1uL-nxpqje8rk7SBSRZzaGDjxCHj5bHAinXpWiZY_eR9TXZayT3GAUfATd8r3rg0yIS5ISiRM/s543/headphone.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="543" data-original-width="363" height="625" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJObpa0GJ9vJtrmHdFsVbsSqsZoAIgc5JaFkqXU0XV6bBec1dZvtbdZX3IBdhxEYmdmi1uL-nxpqje8rk7SBSRZzaGDjxCHj5bHAinXpWiZY_eR9TXZayT3GAUfATd8r3rg0yIS5ISiRM/w418-h625/headphone.png" width="418" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><br /></div>

Giants looked like in better position: they had best record in MLB and secured playoff at least as wild card player. Braves was under pressure of coming very close Phillies and without a chance to get a wild card place in case Phillies will be at first. But that particular day was not good for Giants. They lost 0:3. And now thirteen days later at the end of September, position of Braves looks better compare to Giants. Braves clinched the division, while Giants is still fighting vs Dodgers to be on the first place. </div><div style="text-align: justify;">While game result was a disappointment, I became the witness of the seldom baseball event: Braves hitter Eddie Rosario hit for the cycle: single, double, triple and home run. If you need to know what does that mean you better to consult some credible source: I myself got the knowledge about that event just when it happened. What I do know now that within ~150 years of MLB history such an event took a place only 304 times, in other words in average two times per year. To understand specialty of this event take in to account that 2430 games are played in the regular MLB season not counting the postseason. Guess how many photos of Eddie Rosario I made during that game? No single photos, nil. Next time I will try to picture each hitter at least once. Just in case something similar occurs.</div><div><br /></div><div>To know more about that particular game you can visit this link:</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="https://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-braves/5-takeaways-after-braves-salvage-win-against-giants/EPOILUDSL5DLLOYWAAGNZWYGLQ/">https://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-braves/5-takeaways-after-braves-salvage-win-against-giants/EPOILUDSL5DLLOYWAAGNZWYGLQ/</a><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>And here is just one more photo from the park. Yesterday Braves played first game of the series against Dodgers. And both heroes of the game against Giants showed remarkable performance. <span style="text-align: justify;">Eddie Rosario</span><span style="text-align: justify;"> scored for Braves very first run. In the first inning he singled, then stole second base, then reached third on groundout and eventually reached the home on the wild pitch. Overall Braves scored three times, while there</span> pitcher Max Fried allowed only two runs. It make a sense here to put picture of Max Fried taken on September 19 game against Giants.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiREbBQi8kZ1KjpBlQS26fkZ3AFsDqpWSzb6IfM3_D8-AAdpiFkwUoG9MUvMfUp2I9Iqa_USwgeRsSeM-gsfnEGneUE6QPJLOWu6-BwoNmRgN9p8Nk6d0SEO1FPJCUo7HXeTfgcdOxBqBI/s2048/IMKP4337.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1362" data-original-width="2048" height="374" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiREbBQi8kZ1KjpBlQS26fkZ3AFsDqpWSzb6IfM3_D8-AAdpiFkwUoG9MUvMfUp2I9Iqa_USwgeRsSeM-gsfnEGneUE6QPJLOWu6-BwoNmRgN9p8Nk6d0SEO1FPJCUo7HXeTfgcdOxBqBI/w562-h374/IMKP4337.jpg" width="562" /></a></div><br /><div>Update 11/04/21.
